The security status of the Rohingya camps will be strengthened further by controlling free movements of FDMNs and threat on the local population will be monitored closely. So that the Rohingyas cannot be involved in various crimes including drug trade.

Cox’s Bazar Superintendent of Police ABM Masud Hossain BPM said on Sunday (15th September 2019) while visiting several Rohingya refugee camps police outpost at Ukhia upazila.

There are plans to set up at least five more police camps in the Rohingya camp apart from the existing police campgrounds. The Entire camps will be brought under control by placing multi-layer security ring in the area, He added.

He also spoke to all concerned including camp in-charge ASM Obaidullah, IOM, UNHCR regarding the site selection of the more police camps.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar) Rezwan Ahmed, Additional Superintendent of Police of Ukhia Circle, Nihad Adnan Tayan, High Officials from RRRC Office, Camp In charge, Ukhia Police Station’s Officer In-charge Abul Monsur were present among others.
