Ten roads are being constructed in Ukhia and Teknaf rohingya camps to facilities easy access and transportation of life saving support in remote area.The local government engineering department is implementing these new roads estimated cost 40 crore taka on emergency basis.

According to Ukhia upazila engineer’s office, Roads are being constructed in different Rohingya camps as per instructions and fund from local government engineering department.those are modhur Chara,Machkaria,Balu khali,Tajunirmar khula,Hakimpara,Ghunarpara,under Rajapalong and Kutupalong Union in Ukhia thana.Moreover,A new road is being built at machuni camp under Teknaf Thana.

Upazila Engineer Abdul Alim Liton said, 70% of the work has already been finished.It is expected to complete the total work in next two weeks.Those roads will ease access in Rohingya Camps which are situated in remote area.He added.

Executive Magistrate Iftekhar Uddin Arafat who is in-charge of temporary Rohingya camp-6 at Tanjunirmar Khula under thangkhali said, Thousands of Rohingyas took shelter in remote area.These roads will play significant role to facilitate relief transportation and speed up over all humanitarian activities.

Additional Chief Engineer of LGED Ashish Kumar Paul visited various Roingya camps to see the progress of those roads.

Executive Engineer of Coxsbazar SM Shahidul Rahim said, the cost of ten news roads estimated to be 40 crore taka.
