Four pilots of two crashed aircraft have been rescued alive from Sonadia Char and Hamidar char at Maheskhali in Cox’sbazar on Wednesday evening.Two Yak-130 training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force were crashed at Putibila area of the Moheshkhali upazila. The pilots are identified as Group Captain Sharif, Squadron Leader Monir, Wing Commander Azim and Wing commandar Rajiv.
Maheshkhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abul Kalam said” four pilots were taken to Chittagong by the Air Force helicopter.
Rashedul Hasan, Director of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Armed Forces said, “Four pilots were rescued alive.They are injured but not serious.There was a confrontation between two training planes at Moheshkhali in Cox’s Bazar.
After the accident, fire service, police and senior officials of the administration rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation with the help of local inhabitants.He added.
