The Border Guard Battalion (BGB) detained three people, including 2,38,700 pieces of yaba, in separate raids in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar.
According to BGB sources, on the morning of October 12, an expeditionary patrol team of Palongkhali BOP searched the house of Fakir Mohammad in Tajnimarkhola Paschimpara area of ​​Palangkhali on the basis of secret information of huge quantity of yaba stockpiled for smuggling to the house of Syed Alam Monwar in Tajnimarkhola Paschimpara. Peace yaba was recovered. Syed Alam Monwar (35) was arrested at that time. On the other hand, members of Rejupara BOP searched a passenger octrox going to Kotbazar in Bhalukia area of ​​Ratnapalang Union and arrested a man with 1 lakh pieces of yaba. The detainee was identified as Md Jamal Hossain, 21, son of late Abul Samar of Khalurbaperpara area of ​​Ratnapalang union.
On the same day, a Cox’s Bazar-bound passenger searched a CNG at the Rejukhal joint check post on the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive road and arrested a man named Mohammad Nur (28) along with 10,000 pieces of yaba. He is the son of late Hossain of Nayapara area of ​​Teknaf.
Cox’s Bazar 34 BGB commander Ali Haider Azad Ahmed said the detainees were handed over to the police station after a case was registered against them.
