United State’s Population, Refugees and Acting Assistant Secretary of Immigration Bureau Simon Hens told that the United States is craeting pressure on Myanmar to take back Rohingyas to Rakhaine state from Bangladesh.It (Pressure) will be intensified in near future. He praised Bangladesh by saying, Bangladesh has created the best example by giving shelter to a huge number of refugees despite all difficulties and United States is always beside Bangladesh in this crisis. He said, while visiting the Kutupalong Rohingya Camp in Ukhia of Cox’s Bazar at noon.(03/11/2017)

Earlier, a 22-member delegation has visited the Rohingya camp. They have seen the overall situation of the Rohingya camps and spoke to Rohingyas.furthermore, The delegation has visited various schools of children run by the International Migration Organization (IOM).

The other members of the delegation are Deputy Commissioner of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Bureau Scott Bashby, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of South and Central Asia, Tom Bhajda, Director, Office of East Asia and Pacific Affairs Bureau Patricia Mahoni

The US delegation will also visit Myanmar in the same way and discuss the repatriation as well as rehabilitation process of Rohingyas in Rakhine state.
