Two passengers of Human hauler named Mohammad Ullah (50) and Badsha Mia were died and 8 others suffered wound seriously in a road accident on Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf road. This accident took place on Friday near the Ramu Rabeta Bridge of Teknaf road at 8am.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Ullah, son of Tanda Mia of Goalipalong area under Kuniapalong Union and Badsha Mia, son of Bashir Ahmad of Barokhola area under Boro Maheshkhali union in Maheshkhali upazila. They are dry fish trader.
OC of Ramu Tulabagan Highway Police Mujahidul Islam confirmed the incident and said, A Teknaf bound reckless truck pushed a human hauler which coming from the opposite side at 8am today .As a result human hauler fell into a nearby canal. In the meantime, two passenger of human hauler were killed.
8 passengers were rescued from human hauler and sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for treatment. Three of them are in critical condition. The local people have chased the truck but the driver fled from the scene.
